What you need to know about home showings during the new phase of COVID-19
Safety remains the top priority for Metro Vancouver REALTORS® during today’s pandemic.
Realtors were named an essential service in BC in the spring. Since receiving this responsibility, BC’s Realtor community has adapted processes and practices to safely help clients buy and sell homes while meeting the evolving provincial health protocols.

New restrictions
Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry issued a new order that restricts social gatherings in homes, suspends group indoor physical activities, limits travel, and mandates masks in all public indoor spaces across the province.
This order doesn’t impact a Realtor’s ability to conduct a showing of a home that follows the strict safety protocols that WorkSafe BC, the Real Estate Council of BC and other agencies have established to date.
Second-wave practices and no open houses
With the number of COVID-19 cases increasing in BC, the real estate profession has been taking measures to help flatten the curve.
This includes new instructions for making showings safer and updated operational protocols.
Real estate’s governing bodies are also advising that Realtors not hold open houses given the increasing COVID-19 caseload in our province.
