The 22nd annual REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive wraps up on Monday, November 21.

REALTORS® across the region are working with their clients to coordinate donations of blankets, sleeping bags, warm winter clothing, and new socks and underwear for those most in need.

“There are so many people who need our help now more than ever,” said Dan Morrison, Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver president. “Please give what you can - every piece donated will help one more person stay warm and dry.”

You can drop off donations at any of the more than 100 participating real estate offices throughout the region. Click here for a complete list.

“The record-setting wet weather so far this fall is taxing the resources of the local shelters that we partner with and we need the public’s help to meet this growing need,” Charles Wiebe, Fraser Valley Real Estate Board president said.

Items we’re looking for:  

  • blankets, sleeping bags  
  • warm clothing - coats, jeans, pants, sweaters  
  • plastic ponchos, tarps  
  • scarves, gloves, mitts, hats  
  • socks (new)  
  • underwear (new) 

Each year, the REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive provides warm clothing and blankets to more than 19,000 Lower Mainland residents in need. Since the Blanket Drive began in 1995, the program has helped more than 290,000 people in our communities keep warm and dry during the winter months.

All donations remain in the community in which they were collected.
