The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) is pleased to welcome its new president W. Dave Watt. Watt replaces outgoing President Brian Naphtali who successfully completed his one-year presidency last week.

“I look forward to serving this association and the people in our communities by working to protect property owners, ensure economic vitality, preserve our environment and build better communities,” Watt said.

Before being elected president by the REBGV Board of Directors earlier this year, Watt served as an REBGV director himself for a number of years. He has also sat as a director of the BC Real Estate Association.

From 1984 to 1995, Watt co-owned Watt Real Estate, a business established by his family in 1931. He has been with Royal LePage Northshore since 1995. Watt also serves as president of Qualicum Landing Developments Ltd., a property developer on the East Coast of Vancouver Island. In 2003 he was awarded Best Architectural (Residential) Contribution for a strata development built in North Vancouver.

Supporting the president in 2008 will be the 1st Vice President Scott Russell and 2nd Vice President Jake Moldowan.
