From November 14 to 21, REALTORS® across the region will work with their clients to coordinate donations of blankets, sleeping bags, warm winter clothing, and new socks and underwear for those most in need.

The donations are then sorted and delivered to charities and organizations in the same area in which they were collected. 

The public can drop donations off at one of the 100 plus participating real estate offices. Click here for a list of participating offices.

“October saw a record 28 days of rain. It’s heartbreaking to know some resident s have nowhere warm and dry to live,” Dan Morrison, Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver president said. “Starting Monday, you can help those in need by donating blankets and clothing through our annual blanket drive.”

Since the Blanket Drive began in 1995, the program has helped more than 290,000 people in our communities keep warm and dry.

“This is the largest and longest-running blanket drive program in the Lower Mainland,” Charles Wiebe, Fraser Valley Real Estate Board president said. “Each year, the REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive provides warm clothing and blankets to thousands of Lower Mainland residents, but we can’t do this without your help.”

Items we’re looking for:

  • blankets, sleeping bags  
  • warm clothing - coats, jeans, pants, sweaters  
  • scarves, gloves, mitts, hats  
  • socks (new), and  
  • underwear (new)
