Today marks the launch of Greater Vancouver’s longest running warm-clothing drive - the 19th annual REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive. Charitable organizations throughout our region rely on the proceeds to help some of our most vulnerable citizens during the coldest period of the year. 

 This annual eight-day event, from November 18 – 25, collects gently used blankets, sleeping bags, warm clothing and jackets, in addition to new socks and underwear, to help protect about 20,000 vulnerable people in our region from the cold, wet winter.

Hundreds of real estate offices from Whistler to Chilliwack turn into donation depots as REALTORS® collect, sort and deliver donations for distribution to dozens of local charities. 

Donations stay within the communities in which they are donated or, if the volumes are too large, go to charities in greatest need in neighbouring communities. Since 1995, the Blanket Drive has supported at least 200,000 people.
