REALTOR® honoured for excellence in the profession
VANCOUVER, B.C. - REALTOR® Judith Whyte became the first-ever recipient of The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver’s Professional Excellence Award, March 26, during the annual REBGV President’s Recognition Dinner at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
The Professional Excellence Award is presented to a REALTOR® who exemplifies the highest level of professional knowledge, ethics, peer and client relationships, and community involvement. Whyte was one of eight REALTORS® nominated by her peers for the inaugural award, and was chosen by a distinguished panel of judges.
Whyte has made significant contributions to the real estate profession and her community. She is chair of the Real Estate Council of BC, past-president of the Real Estate Institute of BC, a director of North Shore Community Resources, and a founding member of the charity A Place to Call Home.
She has played a pivotal role in developing educational standards for REALTORS® within the province, and has represented the real estate profession in various capacities at the provincial level.
“To win this award demonstrates the dedication Judi brings to her work and the respect she receives from her peers as a result of her professionalism,” said Scott Russell, REBGV president. “She is one of the most highly respected people in our field, and truly sets a standard of excellence.”
