VANCOUVER, BC – REALTORS® with the Burnaby/New Westminster/Tri-Cities (BNT) division of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) raised nearly $10,000 for the Tri-City Women’s Resource Society at their annual golf tournament at the Carnoustie Golf Club in Coquitlam on September 14.

“REALTORS® from across the region work hard to support charities in the communities where they live,” said Jake Moldowan, REBGV president. “This generous donation will help the Tri-City Women’s Resource Society continue to serve and assist vulnerable persons in the Tri-Cities area.”

The Tri-Cities Women’s Resource Society offers programs and services that address the needs of women and their families in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore, and Belcarra.

Over the past three years, Greater Vancouver REALTORS® have donated and fund raised more than $6.1 million for local charity.

The Real Estate industry is a key economic driver in British Columbia. In 2009, 35,669 homes changed hands in the Board's area, generating $1.49 billion in spin-off activity. The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver is an association representing more than 10,000 REALTORS® and their companies. The Board provides a variety of member services, including the Multiple Listing Service®.
