VANCOUVER, BC – Nominations are now open for the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver’s (REBGV’s) 3rd annual Commercial Building Awards. The deadline to submit a nomination is Monday, July 16.

The Commercial Building Awards will be held on October 25 at the Fairmont Waterfront Vancouver, and will celebrate the best in commercial building projects in Greater Vancouver.

“This event is about recognizing those involved in creating innovative and quality commercial building space in Greater Vancouver,” Eugen Klein, REBGV president said. 

To be eligible, institutional, commercial or industrial building or renovation projects must be located within the REBGV area, and completed between January 1, 2011 and June 15, 2012.

There will be 11 award categories:

  • Mixed-use-Commercial/Residential;
  • Community Facilities including Senior's Housing/Church/Schools/Government/Recreation;
  • Facilities;
  • Retail/Shopping Centres;
  • Office;
  • Industrial;
  • Rental Housing;
  • Hospitality - Hotels/Motels/Resorts;
  • Commercial Renovation/Restoration;
  • Green Building; and
  • The Judges’ Choice award for best overall entry.

Adjudication will be performed by a select team of judges from the real estate industry.
