Sandy Riley, a Vancouver Realtor, was honoured with the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award in March 2016.

Created in 1995, the award recognizes Canadians and permanent residents who have made a significant, sustained, unpaid contribution to their community in Canada or abroad.

Sandy’s contributions helped raise awareness and funds for dementia research in BC and across Canada. She’s volunteered with the Alzheimer Society of BC since 1998, served as president of their Board of Directors, and helped organize and execute fundraising events.
