• it's the 25^th anniversary of the REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive
• started in 1995 by REALTORS® at the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver
• the Fraser Valley and Chilliwack and District real estate boards joined a few years later
• the longest running blanket drive in the Lower Mainland
• each year more than 50 REALTORS® volunteer and 150 real estate offices act as donation drop-off locations
• more than 385,000 of the most vulnerable residents in the Lower Mainland have been helped by this Blanket Drive since 1995
• each year about 35,000 people in need are helped
• needed items for all ages:
  • blankets, new or gently used
  • warm clothing, coats
  • new socks and underwear
  • hats, scarves, mittens
• items collected in a community stays in that community
